I feel a little sheepish asking a question with such a simple answer, but I need to. I recently bought my first AR 15. It has a sight configuration that I have never used before, and I was hoping that someone here would be able to help me. My front sight is a Midwest Industries that looks like this:

My rear sight is the same brand and looks like this:
http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=173

I am not totally clear on how one uses them, as far as a sight picture and lining them up. also, how does one adjust elevation with these sights. Windage seems easy with the rear, but not elevation.

Can anyone help a lost guy here?

Front sight adjusts elevation...turn post clockwise to raise point-of-impact, ccw to lower poi.

It would help if you get yourself a front sight tool. Otherwise, just use a bullet tip or small screwdriver.
