It is always a conspiracy theory and we are accused of wearing tinfoil hats.
I have a theory about this. It's pretty simple, really. The people who roll their eyes and go on their merry way are demonstrating one (or more) of the following thought problems:
- They're avoiding the issue, subconsciously; they've not looked into it or thought about it, but want to avoid such a potential at all costs.
- They've still got "faith" in the United States Government; or, at least, our form of government and process.
Unfortunately, the motivations behind all of these mindsets is purely emotional and not based on fact. There are government (.gov) domains and government documents discussing the NAU, and the American trans-corridor super highway (or whatever it's being called). I would not be surprised if there are government documents talking about an "Amero" as well, as it fits in with the paradigm.
The facts remain fairly solid: the US government
is making headway towards marginalizing our Constitutional government even further, and subjugating us to an international authority. We're just 20 years (if that) behind Europe in the process.
Look at the current legislation in play - the legislation which has almost
everyone on both sides of hte political isle up in arms, yet the majority of our Elect supports - which is proposing all manners of liberty abbreviations: illegal amnesty, gun control, expansion of police and executive branch control - and on and on. Not a week goes by where there isn't more of such legislation or executive order getting put on the books.
Taking all this into consideration, there's no rational way you can deny that our system is being subverted. Some law maker 10 years from now will say, "our system is broken; we need to re-structure with Canada and Mexico to form a new government" - and it will make sense, because they'll have so seriously broken the government that only two options would be possible: re-containment (ie larger government at a higher level of abstraction) or rebuilding (and you know they'd never go for that).
