When you bought your Chinese Paratrooper SKS, what configuration was it in? Did it have a bayonet? Scope mount? Thumb hole stock? Removable magazine? Did it have a cleaning rid? If you have pics, feel free to post them. Thanks!!

No bayonet or stock cut for one

plain jane 10rd mag

scope rail on the reciever

STD stock

16.5" BBL

bought new sometime in 1992 or thereabouts

I have 3 of them. All 3 have the bayonet lugs but no bayonet. All still have the standard 10 round mag on them. I've trashed the factory stocks on all 3. They were trash any way.

My personal one, in in a Butler Creek stock and a Simmons 1.5 to 5 scope on it. It is my inclement weather deer rifle and "back door" gun.

My wifes had one of those Chi-Com red fiberglass "jungle" stocks. I mounted a 2.5 scope on it.

My 3rd one is my "travel" gun. I put an ATI folding stock with a 40 MM dot scope on it. I'm not happy with the ATI stock. The action is loose in it. Either the scope or the stock is causing it to lose zero. I will probably be getting a Tapco stock for it soon.

Mine had the fixed 10rd and no bayo. I'd like to get another preferably in the red fiberglass jungle stock.

Fixed mag, bayonet, cleaning rod. I got the first ones out, refinished the stock, looks great. Everyone was saying at the time that the short barrel would screw up accuracy. Not true in my case. Great little rifle, I may sacrifice it for one of these Yugo underfolders, but I really hate to. There aren't many around reasonable.

Crap, can't get picture to load.

No bayonet, bayonet or cleaning rod lug. Stock was originally cut for a bayonet but had been plugged. Had a side rail. Everything else was typical (magazine, sights, etc).

Came like this with no bayonet. It now has no bayo lug and it has a choate dragunov stock. Mark

My dad and i bought two paratroop carbines. Both had the spike bayonets and the standard wood stock with cleaning rods and cleaning kit with green oil bottle. Slings were included also.

I sold mine and the ammo right when the ban went into effect. I hadn't heard about it. When my dad died i got his SKS and 600 rounds of Norinco ammo. A friend had some of the Norinco ammo and gave that to me also. I have 740 rounds of the steel core ammo now.

My dads SKS had never been fired when i recieved it. I have shot 60 rounds through it so far.

Fixed 10-rd mag, lug but no bayonet, cleaning kit, web sling, chest bandolier.

Forgot to mention mine has the standard 10 round mag. Today and yesterday i bought 240 rounds of ammo. Got some of the Monarch brand from Academy. Hope it shoots well.

Both of mine had shortened spike bayonets, and AK47 magazines. Shortened cleaning rod, standard stock.

They also both had bolt hold opens similar to what is on the M1 carbine.

If one or the other of them had shot a little bit better, I would still have one.

They didn't, so I don't.

Comp that all the pics are on died so I can't post a pic. However, mine came with shortened spike bayo installed, stock cut for bayo, factory 10rd mag, green canvas sling and 200rds of Chi-Com ammo. $125.00 IIRC when I bought it. Wish I'd have bought more.
