CZ has a good reputation all around. What's the consensus on this particular gun

The SP-01 is like an upgraded cz-75, its a great gun, be warned though it is heavy due to its all steel construction, however they are extemely accurate and easy to control.

The SP-01 is the base gun for the very popular Shadow competion gun.

Am I the only one not keen on the term "high cap" mags? More like standard mags for the gun they are made for. High cap makes me think of a Glock 33 rounder or a M-4 with a c-mag. High cap flush sounds oxymoronic.

I'm probably preaching to the choir though.

Yeah, I always think in terms of most efficient grip length-capacity ratio. Hence my endorsement of a 15+1 round pistol.

They rock. Could use a little less travel before the trigger starts to do its thing, but otherwise, absolutely reliable, accurate, probably the best feeling grip I have ever handled, and a good price point, used to be one of the best deals in terms of money spent to pistol received. And they are durable. Trigger also just gets better and better the more you shoot them.

It's important to remember that any gun with a long enough grip can fit an incredible number of rounds, but my FNP-9M, compact version of the FNP, holds 15 rounds in a very compact grip, that fits my normal sized hands perfectly.
Only slightly larger than this and 16 +1 is my FNP-9. It broke me of Glocks for the time being. It is unfortunate that the 9M is not available any more. Heckuva gun!

Yeah it is! I love how smooth the trigger is right out of the box, and it is a nice tight package as well. I like that the compact version isn't all disfigured looking, proportions are nice and correct looking, no super-short slide on a nearly full-length grip, not all chubby, nothing wrong with it to me. I love the sights as well, probably the best sights I have ever used, nothing elaborate, but so low profile, and so visible, and they just align themselves magically.

I think I'm becoming an FNP fanboy.

Acceptable: I like CZ 75s, the pistol just fits the hand, and I prefer the classic look to the newer models with the rail. My hands down favorite is the CZ 75D or PCR as it is called. I will have to wait a while before I get one with a polymer frame, maybe never with what is available by other manufacturers. Only thing is, CZs are a little over priced right now IMO, but still great pistols I bet my life on my PCR every time I leave the house, it used to be a SIG P232 until I held the PCR. Wrap you fingers around a CZ and you will see, shoot one and you will know.
