I'm considering a Hiviz FO front sight for my SW M13-2. The existing front has fairly short height, sloped ramp, pinned front sight (~.20” high) and a fixed grooved rear sight.

Brownells has hiviz listed for "SMITH & WESSON REVOLVER - Replacement front sight"...for K, L & N frames. They provide width and depth measurements but not height.

Does anyone have the height measurement for these?

Has anyone put one of these on a K frame with the fixed groove rear sight?

If it's too tall for this type of sight setup, any alternatives to get a FO front on it?

Thanks.

Go to a local construction site and ask them for a mostly used can of line marking paint. Just a little will last for a long time, I refresh the front site about every 6 months, and it involves no cutting, which you would have to do to put that HiViz sight on.

I am not sure what you are looking for in a FO sight, but they are different than you would expect. They are very good in bright light, but less and less useful as it gets darker. If it is too dark to see fixed sights, it is probably too dark for FO. However, they really light up if you are holding a light next to your gun. Anyways, just telling what I have found. Now probably looking for tritium.
