HK 45 or HK USP 45

Hk 45c (compact) and Hk 45 have two completely different frames/grip. A heads up if you aren't already in the know. The compact only holds 8+1 standard mags and the full size 12+1?.....

You get way more improvements on the newer 45 series vs the USP but the USP is a great gun. The Hk 45 and 45c have the front cocking serrations, more sleek slide, tapered slide nose, ambi slide release, replaceable backstrap, non blocky grips to name a few updates. O ring barrels (not sure on full size but compact yes)

HK45 full size is 10+1.

Be aware there are MANY trigger options available, research that before you buy there are designations V1, V" " followed by a number. And not the same numbers in each model lineup. This means da/sa, da only, lem, for example.

True, luckily swapping between them (other than LEM) is very easy and detent plates (when you can find them) aren't that expensive.

I swapped mine from .. uh, V1? (DA/SA with safety) to V3 (DA/SA only) in 5 minutes, most of that was double checking the angle the new plate needed to be put in on my phone.
