so ive bin skimming threw the rule book and it says the gun needs to be in a vertical position or carry the handgun muzzle rearward (rearward cant).

how much is to much when it comes to the rearward cant?

i made this holster yesterday but im not sure. is this to much of a cant?

I don't recall it ever mentioning that in any of the rule books I have read. I think you're fine with what you have there.
I think too much rearward cant is just going to slow you down. That's a good looking holster, how does it feel when you grip your pistol in it?

it feels fine i like to ride my holster just next tu my buttocks thats why i put the rearward cant in it. my middle finger is the only finger(besides my trigger finger that rides on the holster) that touches the holster so i get a good index point on the grip. just starting to sewing the lines on my ruger speed six holster (the main reason i started making them since ive had a problem finding a leather holster for it (yeah gp 100 holsters are everywhere but i didnt want to pay a small fortune for a holster that isnt made for my gun, student with a small budget mainly going to fund my ammo spendings) a good thing came out of it a friend of mine orderd a cross draw holster for his glock :) maybe i can get enough money making holsters to get myself that 1911 thats on my bucket list.

and thanks for the positive comment sir! :)

Scanning the rules, the only thing you might have an issue with is it really doesnt follow the rules for a pancake OWB style holster. The highlighted part below is the only questionale part that I can see. If you compete in local matches, it shouldnt be an issue. You might get a reading from your MD first.

Nice job on the holster. Let us know how it works.

The rules state:

This design is made from two separate flat pieces of leather
stitched together with belt slots on either side of the “pouch” that
holds the handgun. This style pulls the handgun close into the
body as the belt is tightened and is very concealable and secure.
Pancake-style holsters are normally the most comfortable and
concealable holsters. They are worn on the outside of the belt and
usually carry the handgun muzzle rearward (rearward cant). The
Galco Combat Master, Dillon Master and De Santis Speed
Scabbard typify this design. ALL VERSIONS OF THE
PANCAKE STYLE HOLSTER ARE APPROVED FOR IDPA
COMPETITION.

sry my mistake! in the picture i didnt yet make the beltholes, i just put the belt over the holster so u guys could get a feeling of the angle :) the holster is worn outside the belt :)

Radium, that revolver holster is somewhat similar to the one I use. You may get some flak from SOs or MDs as the trigger guard is not entirely covered. (It isn't on mine, either.) I've never been bothered about that, but just a heads-up.

Sam1911 yaeh i was just thinking about it. had a brainfart. well i guess i can allways make another one :p. its still drying so ill see how well it fits the gun if its even near the glock holster im keeping it. how is it with idpa? could i just slap on a peace of ductape to fully cover the triggerguard during competitions?

Again, I've never had anyone challenge it, and it does cover the trigger, just not the entire trigger guard. Most revolver holsters I've seen are very similar.

I carry a spare holster just in case there is ever a complaint.
