ok i have two holsters that squeak a CrossBreed & a White Hat
i thought that after i used them broke them in it would go away
it did not how do i get rid of the squeak in my holsters :banghead:
thanks

When you figure it out, let me know! :D

I have a higher end horsehide holster, which I've worn now for several years, which still squeaks. It seems to be at its worst when it is on my Wilderness Instructor belt, which is obviously not leather.

Edit: Tried talcum powder too.

Had some squeeking from my horsehide crossbreed. Applied some thin adhesive backed felt between the metal clips and the hide, noise gone. Really thin felt, like what is used on the bottom of table lamps. The felt sticks better to the metal than the flexible leather. Hope this helps.

what exactly is squeaking? ive never heard of this. i make hybrids similar to the crossbreed and full kydex holsters and i carry every day and ive never had that problem or heard anyone talk about it.

Found that the easiest was to rub in some baby power in the area between the leather and the clips, might have to repeat as necessary but works for me.

Crossbreed give the impression of standing behind their products. Obviously, most of their holsters do not squeak or they wouldn't sell. The ones that do squeak can be considered defective. Kindly give them a chance to make it right and you will likely end up quite satisfied.

I don't have a Crossbread holster and I don't have clips. Mine is s OWB holster.

Several years ago, I was in a LGS. As I walked by the counter where one of the employees was standing, he asked me what I was carrying (he could hear the holster squeaking). I looked at him with the best sober face I could muster and told him "I'm not carrying....I got a hip transplant a couple of years ago and it needs to be replaced." He didn't buy it. :D

I have a Horsehide White hat holster that squeaks. Not loud enough for anyone but me to hear apparently. Have had the holster about 2 years now and will try the felt idea. Silicone water proofing spray didn't help as I put some on as a protectant after cleaning the holster one time. Didn't really care for how stiff it made the holster feel and didn't help the squeak.
