I will be in the Czech Republic in a couple weeks for vacation and was wondering if anyone knew whether or not it's possible to get a tour of the CZ factory in Brno?

I will be spending most of my time in Prague but I would like to make a day trip to Brno and the first thing that popped into my head was CZ factory!

I sent an email to CZ and asked them if it was possible to have a tour but I haven't heard back from them yet. I work at a gun shop and I told them I am a big advocate of their products and own a number of them hoping that might help.

Anyway has anyone ever heard of tourists being allowed to visit the CZ factory? Personally I think it would be an incredible place to have the chance to tour!

I've seen people post picture of the factory on the net so I assume they give tours. If you're going to be there anyway knock on the door and see what happens, whats the worst the can do say "no"?

I was in Brno in 2012, but I was just on my way to Ratiskovice and I didn't have time to visit the factory. :(

I would recommend visiting the Globe Cafe and Bookstore while you're in Prague, though.

I would give CZ USA a call and see if they can pave the way for you. If not I would go on CZs Czech website and write to them. Use Google translate if you need any help deciphering any language issues. I don't remember if they have an English version of their Czech site. But they have given tours in the past and since you work for a gun shop you should get at least a little special treatment. I have over a dozen CZs so I guess you could say I am a fan as well.

CZ - ful name CZ-UB is not located in Brno (dont mix CZ-UB with old and now extinct Československá zbrojovka Brno) but in small town of Uherský Brod (hence the CZ-UB name to distinct it from older CZ -Strakonice) long way from Prague, right next to border with Slovakia.

I am bit sceptical about "tourist factory tour" - they have acasional "open door day" for public, but tours are usually only for bussines partners or special guests. The only private tour ive ever heard of..

Sorry for not being enough help.
Anyway, let me know when you get to Prague (where i live as my location suggests) so I can invite fellow highroader "na pivo";)

Or we can visit shooting range:

Pilsner Urquell does a great tour. Naturally cooled! 'Green' beer.

I did a project for CZ a couple of years ago. I don't think that they do tours.
