I have a hornady lock and load ap press and was wondering if I can use a dillon low powder sensor on it and if so, how would it mount? Is there anyone else that makes a sensor that will work? Can I use a dillon low primer sensor also? Thanks in advance.

The only way you could use the Dillon Low Powder Sensor on your Hornady LNL System is if the the caps on both powder measures are of the same diameter, since this device replaces the standard cap. Not having a Hornady press, I can't answer that question. Ditto on the Fail-safe Primer Checker...tube diameters have to be the same.:)

The caps are not the same. I have a Hornady powder measure and a RCBS Uniflow powder measure that I use on my Hornady L-N-L Progressive. The Dillon sensor is too big. The inside of the Dillon measure is the same size as the outside of the Hornady or RCBS. I am looking at buying an extra RCBS lid and mounting the Dillon sensor to it and making a smaller powder baffle that will fit inside the Hornady or RCBS.

doesn't dillon make a sensor that checks the powder charge in the case?
