I have an old Hornady Pro-Jector and would like to add a case feeder. I have always assumed that the LNL is the same as the P-J with the die holes enlarged to accept the LNL bushings, but in checking some old posts on the LNL, it sounds like the primer feed and/or case ejection systems may be different. Does anyone know if the case feeder (with sub-plate) will fit a Pro-Jector?

(I know I can call Hornady, but I would like to get one ordered right away and I am about to go out of town for several days. I would really hate to cough up all that money for something that won't work.)

Thanks.

To answer my own question:

I called Hornady and their technical folks said that the LNL sub-plate will not fit the case feeder to a Pro-Jector. So unless you have a machine shop to make your own sub-plate you can not put the new case feeder on a P-J. At present they have no plans to make a sub-plate for the P-J, but if enough people show interest they might change their mind.

I'm disappointed, but glad I didn't do the usual "assume" deal and cough up a bunch of dough to buy nothing but a boatload of frustration. There may be something to that "look before you leap" stuff after all....
