I have an AWA Longhorn in 45LC. Excellent fit & finish. Good pistol for the money when I picked it up a few years ago ($320 out the door) As noted above, it is made in Italy and assembled/finished here in the US. AWA bought out the old Armi San Marco plant in Italy around 2000, upgraded the plant, and began producing their current line. In my opinion I think the AWA is a step above the current line of SA pistols offered by Taurus and Uberti, more authentic to the original Colt SAA than Ruger (but not as tough), and on par with Cimarron Arms (also made in Italy and finished here). They are good dependable shooters that won't break the bank. Is it the equal of the Colt SAA? No, but it is very close and with the difference in price you can buy crates of ammo. The trigger on my Longhorn is better than my Ruger New Vaquero and it is at least as accurate. If the price is less than a Ruger Vaquero or if I wanted a pistol more authentic than the Ruger, I'd go for it in a heartbeat.
