I don't understand the premise of the question...
Unions are diverse and a job requirement for many union members.
People belong to the NRA because they are pro-gun. People join the NRA voluntarily because of their beliefs. You're assuming NRA members vote a certain way because they belong to the NRA. I think the more logical assumption would be people join the NRA because they are pro-gun and would vote pro-gun regardless of their membership in the NRA.
If the NRA had 14.8 million members they would have a lot more money, but I don't think that you would gain 10 million pro-gun voters. The pro-gun voters are the people who would be joining the NRA. Joining the NRA wouldn't automatically change anyone's vote.
I think the pro-gun voting block is extremely powerful and would remain powerful even if the NRA disappeared. Politicians fear getting on the bad side of the NRA not because the NRA is a monolithic force but because all of the individuals the NRA can easily rally behind their cause. The NRA helps unify the pro-gun voice. The NRA didn't create the pro-gun voice.
