Just a final follow-up post for pards that may also encounter this problem
As I mentioned three of the nipples came out with effort after soaking in PB Blast for a couple of days. The other three would not budge.
I ordered a ratchet wrench. Two more nipples came out with hard effort. The last nipple literally required me to put all of my weight on the wrench to break it free. And this was after soaking in PB Blast for a week.
The ratchet wrench was a life saver and a very well made product. It cost $17.95 from Dixie Gun Works and is worth every penny. My Remmie now sports new brass Treco nipples.
