How is the Wilderness Instructor Belt worn?

Santa brought me a Galco Combat Master holster for my CZ75B this year. It's a pancake-style belt holster and I'm wearing it with my 5-stitch Instructor Belt. I love the holster and the belt, but have a few questions if somebody would be kind enough to answer:

1. Are these belts made to replace the belt one uses to hold up the pants, or are they worn over the pants belt? In other words, should I thread the belt through my belt loops and holster together?

2. If the belt is used to hold up the pants and holster, should the velcro be worn on the weak side to avoid threading the velcro behind the holster and having it interfere? If so, threading the belt and holster is a lot of work!

My questions pertain to open carry if that makes a difference.

I wear my mine through all my belt loops. Where my Simply Rugged pancake holster resides, the belt needs to be threaded through one of the holster's slots, through a belt loop, and then through the holster's other slot. It's pretty secure. You are right about the velcro side.
