Those of you who've joined the NRA, how long did it take to get your membership stuff? I joined about three weeks ago at a gun show, and the lady said that my membership card should arrive in two to three weeks. Thus far, I've not received anything from them. I was just wondering how long it usually took to hear from them.

You'll have the membership stuff soon. 2-3 weeks sounds correct.
After I renewed they kept mailing me new application forms. I called and told them to save their stamps.

It took about 4 weeks for mine to come, the recruiter told me 4-6 weeks was the norm. Glad to hear you joined!

Not to worry...about 4 to 6 weeks

Once you get it, then you'll get many more letters and the occasional phone call asking for more money. I kept track of one year just for fun. As I remember it, I received no less than 25 mailings from NRA with over half asking for more $$. Had than simply not mailed all the letters they would have saved more than I sent them.

I am a life member and they STILL send me renewals ever year. Go figure.

NRA

Yea, they'd bleed me financially dry if I bought everything they entitled me to purchase. Yet, I'm proud to be an NRA member for $35 a year. You do not have to buy everything they "offer." I don't need additional life insurance! cliffy

I was a NRA member back in the early 1990's. Fast forward to this year and I finally joined again for a three year membership. Well actually I sent in my membership application last week. Hopefully I should be official by the end of the month.

I just signed up tonight, the confirmation page said to allow 4-6 weeks for my membership package to arrive.

Congratulations, and welcome!

Now go get another member! As many have said, if we all got one more member, things would be very different..................

Course some of us already get a few more members signed up every year.....

Elmer what did you this election cycle. I live in NC a close state have a cousin in Ohio. didn't hear, see, or here of one robocall. Did the NRA through us tothe sharks or what. I'm a lifer, I donate and feel SH__ on. MCCain is a C but better then a flying F from Obama.
I bet I get calls now asking for money to fight the left though.
I may turn in my membership and they best never ask for money again.

It generally takes about 4 weeks to process everything.

After last nights election, it goes without saying that we need more members now more than ever.

Here is our discount link again for those who missed it the first time. Please sign up if you are not a member and buy one as a gift.

Christmas is coming and gun rights always make a great gift!

It's one of those things where I've meant to join for a while, but once I got to the gun show I always found that extra few rounds of ammo, or a deal that was too good to pass up, etc...and the 'NRA fund' got spent. But in light of recent events, I finally made the commitment to pass on buying more stuff and join. I got a two year membership, and a complimentary hat.

As for getting others to join, I'm working on it. I've got several buddies at work interested in shooting, and a handful are talking about getting their CCW. It's not much, but a step in the right direction.

It doesn't take too long, but when you're waiting it seems like forever. I know because years ago I waited a bit as well.
