Today marks my 1-year anniversary for possessing a Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CCW). How many years have others had theirs?

Got my FL non-resident permit back in 2001. 'Course, I live in a no-carry state, so we don't need permits.

Had a AL permit while stationed a Ft McClellan, and then got a GA permit in May 1998. Have not needed to draw on anyone, but I do keep a personal alert level a couple of degrees higher that the HS clowns do.

And now on this poll you say you got your Permit in Mass in 1991, which was 15 years ago, and would have made you 19 years old and too young to have a permit by two years. You got some 'splaining to do!!!!

I hope this doesn't constitute a personal attack, I was just curious?

I think I got my Virginia permit in 2001.

Washington issues 5-year permits. I renewed for the first time in August of 2005.

Technically, i've had a concealed weapon permit since 1998. Got my first one in Arizona. Started working in California sometime in 2000, and moved there full-time in 2002. I renewed mine just before I left, so I had something I could use when I went back to AZ, or traveled.

Moved to Texas in 2005, and got my Texas CHL a month after my AZ permit expired. I've been only carrying daily for about 2 years total, even though i've had a permit for almost 10 years
