How many magazines to keep on hand?

I prefer belt-fed weapons systems, but they are generally impractical for concealment.

I try to have a handful of magazines on hand. If in pedestrian mode, I try to have at least one spare on me. At least one is Cigar Aficianado Magazine. Another go-to is the Texas Parks & Wildlife Magazine.

Jokes aside, I usually carry one or two spares, depending on caliber/capacity.

I have 6 for each handgun. 2 mags for the house gun always stay loaded. I have around 10 for the SOCOM 16. I also have a couple speedloaders for the revolver.

How is that Socom 16? I've heard mixed reviews about it, although it seems like a very interesting rifle...
