How much cash do you carry?

Very little cash, generally none at all. I use my debit card, and even when I hit the atm, I only pull out 20-40 bucks to cover whatever it is I need right then. I work nights now, and take my lunch to work, so during my work week, I literally have no money on me, not even change. Gas goes on the debit card.

It does kind of contradict my paranoia though. I mean...using only the card and ATMs mean They can track my movements and spending habits easier! :what: and :neener:

Cash, what's that? (starving student) ;)

I do like to carry a couple dollars worth of quarters for phones, snacks, etc.

I use my check card for just about everything. Fast food and concessions/parking at hockey games is about all I use cash for. When I'm running low, I take $60 from the ATM. So I always have $60 or less.

$483,000 that I roll up and stuff down the front of my BVD's :what: :neener:  :D

No, I rarily have cash. If they won't take the debit card or a check then they don't want my business. I may have a few bucks in quarters in the car or my office desk for snacks/sodas but that is about it.

This last payday I had a fortune though, took $10 out of my check so I could stop at Wendy's (I do that as a treat about 5 times a year) and then buy some lunch meat and bread for the remaining lunch days.

I like to have twenty in my wallet, at the least. On average about fifty. Emergencies, extra gas, and so on. No cards for me. But I have that in my front left pocket, hand on it. Another, empty, wallet goes into the back pocket.

I usually carry 10 to 20 dollars in my front pocket for drinks or snacks for the day and anywhere from 40.00 to 200.00 dollars in my wallet incase i have a problem or run into something i want to buy.

Day to day living no cash cash, maybe a few bucks in change for some coffee. If Im going to a gun shop or a gunshow, 50-500 if Im looking for someone. I seem to get better deals at gunshows with cash, and I like to save my gunshop the 3% fee so I usually bring cash if Im buying something big from them.

Whenever I have cash it seems to dwindle quickly on piddly stuff(usually food :D ). A few bucks here for gas, some coffee there, some impulse food from the grocery, lunch at school...next thing I know, Im cash broke again. I stick to my debit card with the credit as a backup.

Ten to sixty bucks. When I'm down to my last ten, I go to the ATM and withdraw $50. My debit card takes care of most things, however I keep a little cash for smokes, drinks, fast food, etc.

I used to carry about $50.00 all the time. I would use my check card for everything, and the $50 would just stay there.

Since moving to Seoul, where everything is cash transactions, I have realized that I am usually carrying more than the equivalent of $200. I feel really weird on the day that I am paying rent and I have more that $1500 (1.7M Won) in my bag. :what:

Cash? I have no cash. I have a teen-age daughter! She seems to be able to sense whenever I have any folding green on my person and comes up with a reason to relieve me of it. Just kidding; I will on ocassion go 20-over on a debit purchase just so I have something for her when she "needs" it.

Lots of cash.

I try to limit my credit card spending. I don't want the government to track my purchases or movements, see my patterns. Getting ready for "The Big Day."

Besides, my wife 'spys' for the government. If I spend $20 on a credit card at a sports store, it pops up on her computer and she gives me holy h*ll when she gets home.

Some of my tenants pay in cash (although I have a better class of people now so I am getting more checks mailed). On a good day not too long ago I could have as much as $1500 or more in cash on me. Of course it didnt stay that way long. That is usually the reason I give for why I CCW.

I use plastic when I can (but not for fast food... small items...)

I withdraw $200 and carry that until it is nearly gone. Then I withdraw another $200.

I hate going to the bank or to the automated teller. I do so as infrequently as I can.

2-500 usually.

I take out in $300 incriments to keep service charges low. $200--time to refuel!

I buy everything with credit so the cash lasts me a while.

$1 to $200. I havent bothered to change my bank over to one near my current location, so I'll draw $200 whenever I go home to visit my parents and that usually lasts me the 3-4 weeks until next time.

I only pay cash for fast food and happy hour with my friends, everything else gets plastic.

Since you asked, I counted. According to yesterday's exchange rate, $455 (and 11 cents) in your money. Usually not less than $100-200 and I withdraw 500 from a machine whenever I get that low. I use plastic for groceries and gas and such. Plastic money is at least as much used here as in the US, probably more. I don't spend a lot of money, cash or plastic, I just like to have some "real" money available - just because. I have a little reserve at home too.

Tacticalschmactical :)

I usually carry whatever my wife leaves behind in my dresser drawer.

So you don't carry anything! LOL.

I don't carry more than $15 in cash, just don't have a need for it. I like to use my PayPal debit/credit card. I get 1.5% cash back on it. Not much but it's better than nothing. I also use it for gas purchases. I can't remember the last time I went inside to the station to pay for gas.

In the rare instances that I eat out, most places are accepting cards. Even most of the fast food places are accepting cards now.
