How much have you spent on reloading since the election?

A lot, I have been reloading for 30 yrs and just ordered another 550 so I can now send in my old for rebuild and then have 1 for each primer size. The recent political and economical situation makes me feel the need to multiply what I thought were adequate quantities.
I don't know how much is enough yet, has anybody figured that out?
If everything works out peachy the I will not have to buy for a while so no loss.

I spent $3000 on ammo and reloading stuff in the nine or ten months before the election..... and almost $1000 after the election.....

$949.80, including the $129.14 I spent today at Cabella's for primers. I'm still buying whenever I find something I want.

I started buying in earnest last March - I didn't like the overall political climate and was uneasy with what I was hearing during the Presidential Primaries.

Yeah.

Well - maybe $500 - and I'd be buying more but I got laid off a week ago. :fire:

I'd have bought more, but I already have stockpiled what would be a lifetime supply for most third world nations anyway.

Oh, by the way - I'm not hoarding primers.:scrutiny: I just happened to USE upwards of 10,000 of 'em in the last couple months. Really.

"A bunch" best describes my purchases. I used to go back and forth about what the current administration might attempt, I've concluded that they are not above trying anything. To those of you who don't think it will happen, I hope you're right, I'm not going to take any chances. The blood the anti-gunners is smelling is ours and they're frothing at the mouth, can you say PERMANENT AWB for openers?

I started a 0 and since im ready to start rolling out 38 specials by next weekend (if my bullets and powder get in).

I just bought Lee Deluxe Dies for:
.38/.357mag
9mm
.45 ACP
.44/.44mag
.380
.223
.308
.30-06
Also, Classic reloading kits in all calibers above.
One Lee Classic Cast Single Stage Press
One Lee Reloader Single Stage Press Kit
Powder measurer, digital scale, digital calipers, pocket cleaner/reamers.

Total around $650.

Now, All I need is Powder, Bullets and Primers.
whatever it costs for 1,000 bullets for every caliber, powder & 10,000 primers

Close to 4k reloading equip/dies one for home one for the other location, and 1200 on bullets, 400 power 300 primers 600 brass...and still waiting on other dies to come in reloading in 10 different cal's.....started buying in july last year. I getting close to being done...

1lb of VV N-133 and 1000 Rem 7 1/2 primers , right around $55. Should have bought some more primers at the time!

not a reflection of Obama's presidency as much as the fact that my formerly hoplophobic, anti-gun wife has now become addicted to shooting last December and is currently going through .38 and .357 mag like potato chips.
Man if you could tell me how you did that I would be forever grateful.

since the election i have done nothing out of the ordianry, i have ordered 10,000rds of 155gr lead (.40s&w) 6 lbs of powder and 5k primers.

Holy @#$%% the stores are empty, the online folk are without supplies of bullets, powder, primers, brass, and any other useful materiel. I have seen the lisyng for powders disappear while Im thinking about the click, and the price for more commonly used powder has jumped more than $20 for an 8 pounder in the past 2 weeks. Over the counter prices are even worse. This is poor socializm--isnt the supply supposed to address the need? An enquery at Wallys about the emptyshelves gets the resonse thatr people are coming in and purchasing 3-400 $ of ammo at a pop. Hope this mania abates because if not the prices may bust the roof and theyve started the climb already. Oh me, I always get afew100 $ every month or 2, no change there except theres nothing to buy at the moment.

Probably around $250, and that's 4x what I normally spend. Not because I live in fear of the anti-gun nuts, but because I'm just shooting and reloading more than normal.

I can't begin to fathom spending $2-3k on reloading supplies in 4 months unless you shoot automatic weapons A LOT. All I can say is that I believe a bunch of you people are truly hoarding supplies.

7500 Montana Gold 124 hp bullets
1000 Zero 147 gr JHP bullets
15000 Win mag small pistol primers
8 lbs. Solo 1000 powder

I just need to get me a Dillion now.:)
