How to Field Strip a Hi-Power?

Just got a Hi-Power (the Feg clone), and am wondering how to field strip one. I'm a 1911 guy, never owned one of JMB's last creations.

Hi Mike;
1- unload
2-lock slide back
3-push the pin from the right side of gun.Slide release pushes out to left just like a 1911.
You have a fine gun there.The quality seems to be very good on the one a friend had.I did a trigger job on it and it turned out very well.Accurate and no jams

Beer right. The only possible way to go wrong is to install the recoil spring upside down. Many people do it once (only). It will go in "upside down", but the pistol won't cycle well, and you can sometimes break the spring or guide rod that way.

Notice which way it comes out.

I have a series of 16 100 dpi scans of the manual for the FEG PJK-9HP that I could e-mail you. All totaled, it's about 738k when zipped. Just need to know where to send it.

theres a safety notch and a diiasembly notch, lock it in the diss
notch and push slide stop pin out, put hand on slide and release
slide, and check what how the spring plug looks like, I've put them in backwards too, but you'll notice spring doesn't look right.

I have 2 PJK-9HPs,and a old Argentine, most barrel ramps have
pits in the ramp, dremel can make them smooth, or buy a barrel from Federal Arms Corp. I shoot mostly FMJ without a hitch, some
wide HPs will dig into ramp and a stopage, I believe te HP is easiest to field strip and shoot, try to remove the mag safety,
it will give a nicer trigger pull, alot of sites to learn on. good shooting!:ar15:

I used to have the Feg p9r . They are pretty good guns for the money. i also like the browing style guns becuase they are very easy to strip .

FEG magazines?

I just bought a gently used FEG Model MBK-9HP, which the KBI folks told me was imported only in '92 and is apparently pretty rare. Great-shooting double-action trigger and came with one 15-round magazine.

So far I haven't been able to locate magazines anywhere and haven't found even a single reference to this model on the Web. I googled the heck out of it.

Anybody got a source for mags for this model? Or will 15-round mags for other FEG models fit it? The dealer where I bought it had a single-action FEG with the ventilated rib and the magazine seemed to be identical except for 14 rounds. I didn't try the other magazine to see if it would function in mine. Wish I had.
