This photo was of our hound camp last October. Ten inches of rain over the weekend, four of them while we actually had the dogs out of the crates. Hard work, but still fun trying, and you could have towed water-skiers behind the trucks on some of the tracks.

Out of the swags at 2 AM because the pegs on the tarp were pulling out of the ground, and a couple of our more geriatric members claim that nearly tried parasailing while holding down the camp later in the day.

Hard work, but still worth it and the boys are looking at pics like this and getting nostalgic. Season doesn't start again until after Easter, so we're all going a little stir-crazy.

Can't say I've hunted in that much rain.....most memorable was last year with an ice storm and nearly 50" of snow.

I've always preferred to hunt in adverse conditions. Less competition in the field from other hunters, the wind and precip make you harder to see and cover your scent and the noise you make. Game movement is also lessened and easier to predict. It's also the best way to be in the right spot when the weather breaks. Sometimes, you just gotta pay your dues.......

We always seemed to kill more ducks when it was snowing. Killed some very pretty Canvasbacks when we couldn't see more than a hundred yards. A white duck flying in snow is difficult to see! But, If they came within sight distance, they came right on in. Just have to aim for the parts you can see. LOL
