HV .270 mauser ID & suggestion

found a HUSQVARNA VAPENFABRIKS mauser in .270 today for $299. It had printed 1909 on it(when HV was founded? Rifle isn't that old) I've never seen one before and haven't been able to find much on the internet. Looks close to this one online

but in better shape (85%?) and instead the barrel is blued, black paint is white, and the wood it lighter. Is seems like a decent gun and might go back monday if I can learn anything about this gun. Thanks guys

How are you sure the rifle isn't as old as 1909? Husqvarna was founded in 1689, and the design is obviously from 1898.

the feel and look led me to guess there isn't anyway it could be that old. Latest my guess would be the 40's, prolly 60-70? I don't know much about guns but the feel of the wood told me there's no way it's 100 yrs old. I want to say it was a maple/birch color laminate? Not an old pitted dry wood. I'm finding out a bit more. I read (true or not) the .270 HV had FN actions.
Here is a Winslow/FN Belgium Action Custom Rifle, Model Plains "A" in .243Win that is the closesty I have found yet to what I saw except mine had a 3x-9x scope and the brown tip was a white. No checkering and stock cut a little less around the comb

think it's a 1909 action with a 'sporterized' stock? in that case still what would the price range be?

HVA mauser

I gave my nephew a .270 for his 16th birthday. It was built by HVA of Sweden on a small ring FN mauser action and marketed under the High Standard trade name. Beautifully blued and fitted with a blond(ish) English Walnut stock. A pure dream to shoot.
