This one is an auto extract. Pop it open too fast and shells are flying everywhere.

I like the idea of breaktops, why are they no more?

My absolute fave BBB (big, badass, breaktop) gun is a Bland-Pryse .577. Read about that sucker in a gun mag. 3 pounds of blackpowder fury. It pushed a 450 grain bullet at 750 FPS. The gun was so heavy that there was hardly any recoil.

At risk of inciting murderous envy, I'll tell you what my WIFE bought me for Christmas:

Webley MKVI
Break top, .455 Webley converted to .45ACP w/ moon clips.

Suh-weet!

It has no bluing left, but is mechanically good-to-go. And the DA trigger...is what 'smiths dream they could do for their customers.

The break-top is ideal for such big-bore low-pressure rounds.

Thw Webley will finally get me into reloading, so I can used lead, non-jacketed bullets regulated to the sights.

90 degree muzzle jump

Me, and the brutal 329.

My all time favorite plinking revolver is the 6" H&R 999 Sportsman 9 shot break open.

Like a fool I let mine slip away a few years ago and I have been searching for a reasonably priced replacement ever since. I am looking for a 6" for myself and a 4" for my 15 year old nephew.
