One of the best and worst moves I made was getting mine interested in fire arms. She has her carry permit and has some very nice pistols I know because they used to be mine!I lost a Kahr before I even got it in the door, she met me on the porch and said whats in the box I handed it to her she pulled out the Kahr racked the slide smiled and said thank you mabe you should buy yourself one too.Ive lost j frames ,A G17 and a 1911 to her ect.
She did say she's going to get me a progessive loader this year for christmass
so I dont have to spend so much time in the reloading room.
She started shooting IDPA this year to,Im going to need another job soon.

ummm...since the 'girlfriend' is NOT your wife...at least in PA...

SHE is the purchaser of the firearm and hence the LEGAL owner; for you to LEGALLY have possession of the firearm, you will have to do a firearms transfer at an FFL where you fill out paperwork to gain possession and she fills out a section to relenquish the firearm to your possession

My wife has a Ruger .44 carbine, a Ruger Super Single Six with interchangable .22/.22 mag cyliders, and a S & W Model 65 with Hogue factory-fitted grips. She'll let me shoot them, clean them, and reload for them. Lucky me! Sne can shoot them pretty well so I don't worry about her being home alone, so it's worth it!

No FTF sales allowed in PA? Here in FL you can simply hand someone a gun and its theirs, cash or no cash.

Guys, this can come back to bite you in the arse. Case in point: I bought the little woman (well, she used to be little) a Nice little Rem 1100 light 20. She made me cut the stock to fit HER. Now how inconsiderate can you get?

Now that's incriminating! ;) I'm glad my wife took a liking to my stock AR so I don't have to modify anything. I do have to keep the collapsible stock at a smaller size than I'd like, darnit!

Hey boys play nice.... This is the way I look at whats his is mine and whats mine is mine :) I have taken over most of the guns we have... Except the H&K cause he hides it :) I need to get my own but I want a DRESS GUN not a POCKET PISTOL and yes there is a difference. :neener: I'm the one who walks into the store and comes out with the guns. I keep joking that for our wedding he is going to head for the garter and find a gun

I buy myself military surplus and delight in the quality and value for the price.

Tokarevs, CZ-52s & CZ-82s, Even Star Model A and Super.

SKS, 98K, Yugo Mauser, 100 yr old M-97 etc, etc.

I keep finding Gunbroker items in odd places, spelled wrong, or something,

and I bid thinking I can't win, "..no freakin' way that can sell for $450.."

That's how I unexpectedly wound up buying 5 as new Winch 1300's for $165 ea.

Luckily I have 2 sons to whom I may disperse any firearms overflow.

Almost every extravagant (in my mind) gun I own was my wife's idea, in fact

I would have backed out several times if she wasn't standing there pushing me,

saying "DO IT! JUST DO IT! DO IT! IF YOU DON'T DO IT I WILL! "

Includes:
Desert Eagle 44 Mag
Browning BPS 10ga in piano finish
Carbon 15 AR-15 223 pistol (lightest, easiest handling monster)
Long-slide Springfield Trophy Stainless
Barrett M82A1 (after this one the gun store guys offered to trade for HER!)

My favorite is the CZ-52, after I actually LOST ONE!! :cuss: It was between waves

of $99 supplies of guns, I spent over $250 on a metal detector and weeks

to scour the pasture for a cocked and locked $99 gun and never found it.

She called every wholesale broker in the country trying to find a replacement.

She's a keeper for sure. Course, I really can't take credit, her dad had her shooting

candles in the fireplace with wax 38spls when she was 10.

Ah, Life is so hard.

i know all about it biting you in the butt, a year ago my gf (will be wife in a month) did not know a shotgun from a rifle, now im trying to hide my guns from her when i go out of town for work...lol. i think she might like shooting more than i do... and she keeps trying to talk me into spending the budget on CUTE guns.....

the oposite worked for me. got her a gun now SHE is the one that wants to go shooting all the time!

I explained to my wife that some guns are girl guns and some guns are boy guns and you put them in the gun safe and more guns are liable to show up. So I told her if new guns she has never seen before apear in the safe that she shouldn't worry about it.

That's a good one! I'm gonna use that next time my wife asks me how many guns I need...
