After two years of seeing these pistol's in gun stores and reading all sorts of articles and reviews of mixed opinions I finally broke down and shelled out the $1000 for a FNH Five-seveN. Ill be going out to my land tomorrow, as long as it doesn't rain, to sight in my new m70 extreme weather 338 win mag and try out my new 5-7! Ill let you guys know what I think about it once I get a chance. Anyone else own or shot a 5-7? What do you like/dislike about it?

Cory

Glad you got something you wanted. The 5-7 is not very near the top on my list, but it is a very long list, maybe a good range report (with pictures of course) could bump it up a few places.

Yeah ill definitely let you guys know how it goes and try to get some pics of the targets. It might be a week or so because I don't actually own a computer (use my cell phone to access THR) and ill have to use one to upload pics but ill be sure to do so.

Meanmrmustard, I have no doubt in my mind that you'd adopt it from me lol! It rained out all day today so i didn't get to shoot but tomorrow ill just go to the local indoor range and test the new pistol and try to get some pics and a short review up for you guys. I was really looking forward to going out to my family's 40 acres to shoot today because I also picked up a new Winchester m70 extreme weather in 338 win mag with a Leupold vx-3 2.5-8x36 scope that i need to get sighted in but thats another subject. Ill let you guys know how it goes tomorrow.

Youd be right!!!:)

I hope you get dry weather my friend, it's raining dogs and cats in mid MO, so I'm sidelined too. Congrats on a Ferrari of a pistol. Treat it well, or it my end up mine!

I was online looking at the amno choices and specifications for the 5-7 and came upon the elite ammunition website. They have some pretty wicked loads for it! I did some research and read reviews and ended up ordering two boxes (25 rounds a box) of their T6 load. Its an all copper 28 grain bullet @ 2600fps!! Holy moly lol. It is spendy @ 42/box but it seems like some good stuff. If I knew how to post a link I would but if you guys aren't familiar with this stuff you should Google it. Elite Ammunition T6 5.7x28
