I got my 228 back after sending it away to get refinished. I'm sooooo stoked about it. If you guys have a beater that you want to look epic, please check them out.

Here is my 228 before I send it in... not too much of a beater, but definitely has some wear, and seeing that it was made in '94, was definitely due for an upgrade.

Get jealous! For real, I'm usually not one for shameless plugs, but this was beyond my expectations

CCR Refinishing

I really like the mix of stainless controls, thats my kinda gun. Glad to hear they did a good job for you. imo you should put stainless grip screws on there too lol. Great gun, great job refinishing!

Yeah, that's my next order of business. I'm gonna get a set of new grips for it, and get the stainless screws.

I like your thinking

How much did that cost ya?

I noticed a 1911 style pistol at a shop that caught my eye but was beat to death.

I think a job like yours would do wonders

What type of finish did CCR put on your P228? Looks great!

The finish is CERA-HIDE... the nickel-esque finish is called CERA-PLATE, check the website.

It ran me about $280. But keep in mine $80 of that was just shipping, so if you know an FFL, take advantage.

Usual price is about $170, but mine was more because of the 2 tone controls, and I got the Barrel and Guide Rod refinished as well. They also put new springs/pins/grip screws throughout it.

They even greased the rails and polished the feed ramp.

I kinda liked original worn look to your pistol, but they did a good job.

Kinda strange that the grip screws came back black.

They put a new spring/pin kit in it... and part of that kit included new grip screws.
