Dan, say oorah and tighten up and drive on. I just got cleared today by the doc to return to normal activity after six week of therapy from a bypass and blood clot surgery that almost took me out permanantly.

I wasn't in the Marines, Army SF, but we were still brothers in arms. I am also a service officer in my VFW post. While I don't know your age or circumstances, I urge you to go contact a local Service Officer from any of the service organizations in your area. We are trained to assist you in identifying possible causes to your illness and can assist also in submitting the paperwork to determine if your condition is service related. If it is, there's a wealth of programs that can help you.
I wish you all the best I whatever you do. If you need more info, just pm me and I'll be more than glad to help.
Get well soon my friend, and never give up the fight.
Dan, Semper Fi Brother! And a well deserved Oorah!
My sister is slowly recovering from her 7th stroke, this last one a major one. So, while I have not personally been there, but close enough to see the daily struggles in the common tasks. She hasn't fully recovered her speech, but it improves daily. She draws, colors and works on word puzzle games which all help.
You typing away, thinking the thoughts to put digits to digits is critical to your recovery. Keep it up! Chesty Puller expects no less from you!
