After many years of tryouts, purchases and trades, I may finally have figured out what my favorite da/sa and striker fired guns are.

Here is my conclusion, I'm interested to hear what others say are their favorites in these 2 categories.

DA/SA = CZ 75B
Striker = Walther PPQ

I haven't shot all of those available. Of those I have, my favorite DA/SA is probably my Bulgarian Makarov. That may change when I get a chance to try out my CZ-70.

My favorite striker-fired gun is probably, well, my Hi-Point C9. Why? It's one of only three striker-fireds I own, the other two being a Jennings J22 and a Bauer 25 (both of which are admittedly fun to own and shoot in their own regards.)

Never liked DA/SA, like the trigger pull to remain consistant for every shop. I've carried 1911's or Striker fired for the better part of thirty years.

But if I had to do DA/SA it would be M11-A1 Sig

For Striker fired I'm a Glock dude and the 19 has become my main carry

Too tough to choose between my SIG P229R and my CZ P01 for my favorite DA/SA gun. We'll just consider this a win/win situation and let it go at that.

In striker fired guns my Ruger SR9c has the best trigger and design ergonomics over any other striker fired gun that I have used.

I know you didn't ask for it but I had to include my favorite SAO guns as well. Of course it would be another one too close to call between my Browning Hi-Power and all of my 1911s.

Yep that's mine as well. Love my CZ75B omega and my ppq m2. My sig p320 compact is also very good and trying to give my Walther a run for its money. As far as strikers go the trigger take up on the sig is the best, but the PPQ is still best in class with the break and reset. Slight edge goes to the Walther in ergo's as well. I just don't see someone making a striker fired gun that can beat the PPQ is more than 50% of all categories. As far as a the CZ, effortless tack driver would best describe it in my hands.

Hmmmm...I guess my Beretta edges out my sigs and Smith autos by a hair in the DA/SA category. Striker fired? I was very impressed with the Sig p320 my daughter just got for her ccw, but I would never plunk down my own money for any polymer framed pistol and I don't think anybody makes a striker fired metal frame...?

I left SAO out since I figured everyone would say 1911. However, there are of course others so good idea to add.

DA/SA = CZ 75B
Striker = Walther PPQ
SAO = 1911 commander size

Thank you for the addition. I thought that SAO (and maybe DAO?), was worthy of inclusion on your favorite's list.

DA/SA : Sig SP2022
Striker : Haven't found one yet, only tried Glocks, interested in the M&P, though
SAO : 1858 Remmy

Only had on my mind the ones I've racked my brains over for years, but yes, DAO belongs in here too .

DA/SA = CZ 75B
Striker = Walther PPQ
SAO = 1911 commander size
DAO = HK P30 V1 with LEM trigger
