I need some help w/ my AK....

So i feel like an idiot, but i simply lost a part of my AK. I have lost the little disc that holds the Recoil spring in place on the piece of Wire in the middle. While cleaning the recoil spring after a range session, it popped off, and I can't find it. As I have no clue what the part called, i've had no luck finding a replacement. Help

For future reference you don't need to disassemble the recoil spring assembly to properly clean an AK variant. http://www.guerrillagunsmith.com/ak47.htm

Thanks Ithica. I appreciate it. Actually It just popped off as I was running a Toothbrush against it to clean out the carbon

The armorer's manual includes stripping the recoil spring when necessary:

I've hardly ever found it to be necessary unless I was refinishing a gun or replacing the recoil spring. BSW
