Hello guys! I never thought this day will come that I personally will own a GLOCK:eek:!!! I have fired a couple before and did not like the trigger at all! So i stayed away from it for 5yrs and I'm sure some of you guys have an idea what i'm talking about but anyway yesterday I finally decided to what the heck I'll get one and if I don't like it I just trade it like any other gun i owned, but I was really surprise after going through 2 mags and finally somewhat got used to the trigger pull now I think its a KEEPER;)!!I am a 1911 guy to the bone! but i have to say this thing is not that bad at all..o yah it was a used GLOCK 19 i think its gen 3 but what do i know..

I didnt like Glocks at first either. Ended up getting one and its one of my favorite guns to shoot.

Whats not to like? I really like the Glock trigger, so its easy for me to say. Get a 3.5 connector and install it, you will really like it then.
Glad you overcame your weakness....Enjoy!:D

I resisted Glocks since they first came out until about 18 months ago. If they fit your hand they are easy to shoot and accurate.

I was the same way....I resisted the plastic gun urge for 20 odd years. I bought a 17 a few years ago and now I'm a believer. This thing chugs through any type of ammo.

Needless to say I'll own more than my current 2 (17 & 26) in the future.

I just traded my glock in a multi gun trade. I got a sig 228 out of it (its like i paid $100 for it with the trade). Now I want another glock so bad. What can I get for a german sig 228 with comptac and serpa?

I bought my first pistol in 1978 a S&W model 39-2. In 2008 I shot my first Glock, a G17. Less than 30 days later I owned my one and only Glock a G34, use it to shoot IPSC/USPSA Production. There is a reason there are so many G17s and G34s in this type of competition. They are made to draw, aim and fire rapidly, repeatedly, whip me, beat me, make me shoot cheap ammo! I did buy a replacement for the G34, an STI 1911 9mm, that cost more than twice as much, it is a better shooter but I can shoot and reload faster with the Glock. As far as I can tell I own the perfect Glock, I just cannot imagine any other Glock being as good as this one, may not ever get another.

I hated glock and 1911 for so many years, I love CZ, Beretta and HP, but now I have two G17, one black and one OD and one 1911.

Different stroke for different folks I guess.

I tried a plastic gun about 15 years ago, a Sigma. It is to this day the only gun I have ever sold. I'll never make that mistake again.

if I ever get one it'll be a 34/35...not sure why it's a bad thing to say you like a glock? its just like every other gun, you either like it or don't. no one outside the internet cares that you have a glock instead of a sig/s&w, etc..

like most folks that have posted, i, too, was skeptical about glocks. But a few years ago i figured i'd buy one to see what the fuss was about. Needless to say, it quickly became my favorite pistol. I liked my G22 so much I bought a G21 for christmas. I know a lot of people complain about the grips on glocks but I love the way they feel in my hand. Even my G21 is very comfortable to me. I'm a glock fan for life now.

I didn't like my g19 at first. I liked the gen4 17 I had before it, and wish I had kept it. I till am not a fan of glock triggers at all.

That being said, I almost bought a g30sf while on my lunch break. I have a silly travel reimbursement check burning a hole in my pocket. Hopefully, I can make it to the bank safely and get it into my savings account. :uhoh:

The early Sigmas were one of the worst guns imaginable. Don't let that experience influence your decision about Glocks.
