I have zero experience with them but I can tell you that you get what you pay for. If you want to save money buy a cheap AK made with 30 year old surplus parts, it may do the job. You want to save your life buy a quality new production AK for a couple more hundred.

Yes indeed

You get what you pay for is always good advice. Just wanted to see where this rifle ranks with other affordable AKs.

Thanks,

I had a horrible experience shopping with IO Inc. and would never risk doing business with them again. I placed an order and they shipped the wrong thing. I called and they wanted me to pay the return shipping, only by arguing and being very insistent did they agree to send me a shipping label. The label took several days to come and I shipped it off the next day. They agreed to send the correct items when the received the original shipment back from me. I wanted them to simply send it so I could have it ASAP since it was already many weeks after my order was placed. The would only agree to ship after receiving the returned goods. That would have been fine but I tracked the shipping back to them and they didn't send their second shipment to me until weeks after they had gotten it back. When it finally arrived it was missing items I had ordered. I called them and they said the missing items were back ordered. This was never shown on their website. I asked for an ETA and they told me one week. Three weeks later I call again. Still back ordered. They give me an ETA of 2 weeks. I call three weeks later. They tell me they aren't in and they have no idea when they might come. I call a few weeks later and they tell me "oh we wont ever be getting those in there are none on order." I firmly believe they would have kept my money and simply never shipped it if I had not called.

It took months to get the right items and even longer to get my money back on the items they didn't send. Additionally with a few exceptions their customer services was not particularly kind or helpful when I called. It was bar none the worst online shopping experience I have ever had.

A company that runs things like that and doesn't seem to care about their customers is one I would avoid.

As for the quality of the gun itself, I am not sure what specific model it is but based on the models shown on their website I am not real impressed. One can purchase a newly manufactured saiga and convert it for less or the same and have something that will likely out preform an overpriced kit gun. The converted saiga route yields the best gun dollar for dollar IMO.

...

-US made receiver
-US made 16-1/4" barrel
-US made non-slap trigger components

...

those are the only US-made parts on it, most likely. Going by the price, everything else points to it being something like a WASR-10; an old and/or rejected parts kit straight from the ComBloc.

You will be getting what you paid for.

You'd be better off with a Saiga conversion

I bought one of their ak-47c's in March. I have had to take it back to the gun store three times for problems. The last time, a little over a month ago, they sent it back to the factory and I am still waiting. Maybe I got a lemon, but it seems like too many things have gone wrong for it to be coincidence.

we got one at my work and i had to say i was very unimpressed. Flimsy plastic stock, wierd looking bluing on the gun that looked like it was plastic as well, crapco furniture throughout, and the muzzle break fell off when i went to show it to a customer. After that i told them to buy the not so tacticool saiga next to it and 2 days later at the range i saw my customer and thanked me for offering him such a fine gun. Get a arsenal if you can find or afford it and a close second is to get a saiga. loved both to death and hated my wasr with all my being.
