the allure of the 1911 is too great. I'm in the process of getting a used but apparently good conditioned Norinco 1911-A1 for 339.00 from a member here on the board. It is in it's stock cofiguration. I'm not sure if I want to modify it or not. I'll probably keep it stock for now. I was in the market for a GI Mil-spec style 1911 after going down a troublesome road with a Kimber that I had that was less that reliable. I didn't want to spend a but load on a 1911 to have it jam on me like that again. I think if this as kinda like testing the waters of dating again after having a cheating girlfriend except I'm not going out with the prettiest girl in the bunch . One thing is for sure; It will get a set of real wood grips. Havaing the plastic ones still on the gun is a good indication that it may very well be unmodified. I'll post picks when I get it.
