Beretta Bobcat is their smallest... tho I prefer the somewhat larger Cheetah

Walther P22 is pretty small. Maybe a little too big for comfortable pocket carry though.

22 Handgun Options

I would have to say I agree with everyone. I got a p22 with a laser site included and its a fun gun to mess around with. Depends what you want to do with it. Its an awsome gun.

Beretta Bobcat is among the smallest/best autoloader. S&W Model 317 2" is a j-frame, alloy .22 revolver that's pocket-sized & tough to beat. I wasn't too happy with my Walther P22 & happily sold it.

I'd go with the Beretta 21 and buy as many different types and brands of ammo that I could find. Field test all of them and find the one that works the best in your gun; every .22 that I've owned has been somewhat particular as to what ammo it likes and what it doesn't like. Then practice with that ammo until your confident with it under every situation, i.e., FTF, FTE, misfire, etc. One thing that I have found to be relatively true in regards to small .22 autos is that the smaller you go in gun size, the more critical internal tolerances and functionality become. It's not always possible to simply shrink a gun down and expect everything to work the same way it would on a full size model.

Anyone have any experience with the Firestorm??

Several members at Bersa Talk have them. They all have good thing to say accurate and relieable. Many use for practice since 380 is expensive.
Some what hard to find in dealer case. But can be found if look a little.

Small 22 pistol

Check out the Pheonix 22's . I have several of these and they are pretty good little handguns. They have 10 round mags and 3 different safeties. A magazine disconnect , a regular safety, and a firing pin safety. They also have windage adjustable sights.
I think the Nickeled/silver ones seem to work better right out of the box than the Black ones.
I put a touch of Blaze orange paint on the front sight with a toothpick and they are a lot easier for my old eyes to see.
They are also a lot cheaper to buy than the others. Right around $125 in either color. Spare mags are a little pricey but they are around $15. I like the mags with the little finger support on the bottom, but the flat ones fit in a pocket easier. :)

Well I ordered a firestorm yesterday... He said I'll have it on Wednesday. I feel like a kid on Christmas eve!! My buddy has the .380 that's supposed to be identical to it and I really like it so I figured what the hell... I'll report on my first impression Wednesday night if all goes as planned.
