Incredibly unsafe shooting, cleanup on all the glass around the computer he was shooting over must have been fun. I have no idea how fast the BB was going, but fast enough to cause damage.
Now, on the other side, yes, that does look like a heck of a conversation piece, and fun toy on a safe range.

I like the part where he loads the canon and then rotates it with his finger over the muzzle.

To be fair most ranges don't consider a black powder gun to be "loaded" until the percussion cap or in this case the fuse in put into place. Still, I have to agree that it's not the smartest thing to be doing.

It's giving me ideas for a ship's gun deck diorama scene with a section of ship wall and deck to scale, a properley hinged gunport, the pulleys and central to all a scale naval cannon shooting a .375 size ball. Aiming at the obvious pirate ship shaped target at 25 yards would be superb range time fun.

AVAST YE BLACKHEARTS AND SHIVER ME TIMBERS! STAND BY TO REPEL BOARDERS! ! ! :D

In the last scene of the balloon being shot: The little cannon was not aiming anywhere near it. I think it was faked unless the cannon rotates upward when fired. Why would they do the testing so close to their computer keyboard? Especially with an egg.

The videos author indicated he aims low to compensate.

It was a college dorm. That's the same as a shooting range back in the good ole days. :)

Nowadays, some campuses won't let water guns or Nerf guns on campus, much less in the dorm rooms. When my brother went to college, he had to have his hunting guns (and even his BB gun) locked in the school's "armory" which was a closet at campus security. He heard about some of the unsavory things campus security did to resident's guns (like taking the cooler looking weapons to the shooting range without permission, or hocking them for meth), he took his guns home until he found off campus housing the next semester.

That guy better hope his neighbors don't hear the gunshots or he'll be labeled a domestic terrorist. You go to college to broaden your horizons, but the only thing they do is trim your sails and brainwash you to their way of thinking.
