If I put a folder on my VEPR K, what is the minimum length it can be?

I believe I can modify a US made steel side folding stock to fit my VEPR K, but I'm trying to find out what the overall legal minimum length can be when folded. Are measurements made from the muzzle (without set-screwed compensator in place) to the back of the rear tang or where? I don't want to make an expensive mistake. Thanks.

over length will need to be 26". The Vepr with the 16" barrel is 25.5" to the end of the reciever. Just need a little more from the folding stock.

Minimum length is measured with the stock in the open position. It can be less than 26 inches with the stock closed.

RA has released a stock now that is designed to fit the VEPR receiver with a little minor gunsmithing.

even if it were measured with the stock closed, the folding mechanism would make up that half inch.
