my dad and i were talking about this last night. where in the world would you pick to hunt? regardless of current politics

mine would probably be Iran or India

I'd start with Texas..................... :D

Depends on what you like to hunt
I have several friends who have hunted all over the world - their trophy rooms are huge - hard to dislike your choices, or Spain, Russia, Mongolia, etc for exotic big game - and of course the African countries

personally, I like upland birds, so I would most likely go with someplace like Argentina's Cordoba region for doves and perdiz

Africa is the largest country in the world!

Not really interested in leaving the USA, but an Argentine dove hunt does sound fun. I talked to someone a while back that hunts down there; he told me thay also shot 100's of parakeets. I'm sure some people would ahve an aneurysm at the thought of someone shooting parakeets!

I am intriuged my the traditions and methods of the European countries in general and specifically Germany and Austria.

I have several friends who hunt south Africa on a regular basis, and for the most part, there isn't much "hunting" left over there but just shooting.

Russia would be my choice as well. Remote hunting for snow sheep - and ibex hunting as well. I would really enjoy those.

lots of different sheep species plus ibex, boar and tons of bird species. my dad has alot of stories of hunting there while he was in the air force before all went to heck

Haven't done the research, but I'd jump on a chance to go somewhere in Africa on a plains game safari.

Haha, yeah I was just thinking places other than America. Continent: Africa Country: Russia. Love to hunt wild boars there.

Haven't been to Zimbabwe yet. Kazakhstan is a great choice. Canada has polar bear and mountain goat; Australia has huge water buff.

But I'd want Nepal: blue sheep and tahr.

One thing about Russia and hunting: they have mosquitoes that if you do not make a kill shot on them they will get pissed off and ruin your day. Same can be said for Canada in certain regions only they seem to be slightly smaller; recommend .22 when confronted or at the first sign of buzz. .

Up here in Alaska ,We don't shoot them skeeters. Unless you can get a good
head shot. We trap them. Less damage to the pelts.
