In Washington, the knife law is so vague...I've researched it but don't understand it. Other than as far as the prosecutor is concerned, you is fresh meat, or his/her's to do what they wish with you. And juries don't tend to look kindly on cutting people up, for whatever reason.
Back in the day, I often carried a big knife on my belt in plain view. Yep, I was one of "those guys". But never got in trouble for it. But also carried a K-bar concealed for years, I think I'm quite lucky I never used it, still be doing time. Or bow-hunting only. Almost did once, when some guys tried to load my Knucklehead in the back of their truck, at a bar. But they got away, without the bike. Weaklings.
