I went to the gun store this morning and my Dad bought me a WASR-10 AK-47!!! Here's a pic of the gun I love so much!!!

I love this thing!!!

MOLON LABE THIS AK-47... if you dare.

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Be sure to follow the saftey rules and always act responsibly. The more decent firearm owners we have out there the better. Have fun! :)

Oh, yes. Of course I'll follow the rules. If you visit my site (see my signature) you can see that I have already made a page covering the FOUR RULES and many other rules.

My AK is so awesome.

Hehe now you need to skunkabubba it all out with drums, scopes and other goodies.

Hey boofus, what's a skunkabubba?

Anyway, one great accessory is the Kobra red-dot sight. Those Romanian AK-clones are a lot of fun. Congrats Rok-Cor

Oh, yeah, the picture is not mine. It's on Tantal's site , a good source for Kobra sights.

Regards.

Skunkabubba is when you tacticalize a gun to the max, with drums, carbon fiber hand grips and scopes, lasers, cheek pieces, bipods, etc...

Like this fine specimen of tacticality. It has Skunky's name all over it.

Yes, I am gonna get a EKP-08-2 Kobra Red Dot side mounting sight.
Tantal is out of stock and they cost $224.95 (Free S&H). Guess I have to save up my paycheck. (I got a job at Wendy's two weeks ago. Paycheck comes Tuesday.

I also want a PSO 4x24 V-1 Scope (Tantal $109.95 + $8.00 S&H) that mounts on the side rail.

I might get a new trigger from Red Star Arms, too, but I need to fire the gun first.

I ALSO (when will it end?) will get an assault rifle case and some BlackJack buffers.

And it's Roc_Kor, not Rok-Cor. Thanks.

Roc_Cor,
Now be a good little AK owner and install the folding stock on September 14, O.K.?:p

Actually, I don't care for folding stocks. :uhoh:

Oh, crap.

*runs away*

*AK owners chase me down with folding stocked AKs in hand.*

I'm sure you've heard the ole saying that when it comes to women there are a whole lot more fish in the sea.

Guns are exactly the same.

I suppose it is natural for a young man to fall head over heels for his first love but you'll get over it - yes you will.

20 years from now that AK will just be one more pleasant memory among many. Branch out. Sample the wares of many before settling on one.

And remember when it comes to guns - unlike women - you can have many - all at the same time. ;)

Yes. Very true. I guess I can have a 'harem' of guns.

Until Antis make "polygunny" illegal, that is. :fire:

I only have an indoor pistol range to go to, but it takes all cartriges up to 50 BMG, so it's a great place to learn.

Twoblink,

Your profile says you're located in Taiwan. Are you in possession of that rifle while in Taiwan?

Werewolf, I highly disagree with most--if not all--of that. I've got 5 guns total, but the Marlin 60 (my first purchase) will neither be forgotten nor sold. That one, I swear, will never leave my family. :)

Great! I only have a Ruger 10/22 at the moment, but I'm really interested in picking one up after handling them today at a gunshow. They're a lot smaller than I was expecting, and felt just right when I shouldered them.

Actually, the gun store that I bought the WASR from HAD a 91/30 AND an SKS. The guy let me hold the 91/30, it felt niiiiiiiceee. Me likey. Gotta save up for one of them. Thank God they're inexpensive.

Congratulations. Your father must trust you as mine did me when he helped me pick up my first gun. Like I did many decades ago, you have taken on the responsibility of an adult. We are confident that you will discharge that responsibility to the best of your abilities. You certainly have more information and "mentors" than I did in my youth. Make us proud. Salute!

Congratulations on your first gun, It's a sweet boomstick!
Wish that AK's werent illegal over here.. :banghead:

Thanks. I promise that I will use my gun to destroy the evil that is paper targets and that evil alone. :D

No, seriously. I will only use my rifle for good and sport. I promise to feed it many FMJs and keep it clean and happy.

4v50 Gary, I got my first gun at 12 from my grandfather, a 20ga bolt shotgun. He then later let me have an SKS for a deer rifle. :) I still have both of them. I'm currently only 19.

Roc_Kor, pop a 5 or 10rnd magazine in the gun and take it deer hunting. So long as you stay within 100 yards, you'll be fine. Several people make 7.62x39 ammo with soft point or hollow point bullets just for hunting. It's along the same powerband as the old .30-30.

You could also looking into getting a Saiga from EAA in .308 and converting it with US parts/Dremel to a pistol-gripped AK. Then you can have a battle rifle and a deer rifle in the same AK patterned firearm.
