I'm really liking the 9mm Luger more and more every time I shoot it!

What about any of you guys or gals, have you found yourself's going back to the 9mm or any other cartridge??

I don't know about you guys, but I just shoot tighter with the 45acp than with my 9mm, and target plates just fall easily with the 45(one shot), whereas you'd need two in the 9.

Well....that depends on what 9mm you are firing.
I use this one and have no problems.....:D

I have an XD-40 and a Ruger SR9-C. I find myself shooting the Ruger alot more, I'm more accurate with it, faster follow-up shots and the recoil is much softer. I still shoot the XD and won't get rid of it, but I enjoy the Ruger more.

The steel kind, 0.5inch x 8inches dia. circular target that is plenty on the outdoor range(club range) that I go to. BTW, they also have human torso-shaped targets that is even more resistant to falling, you need two successive hits using the 9mm to even have the chance to bring it down.

Sounds like they're not balanced for 9mm, then.
The plates I've seen have an adjustment mechanism.

Can't really blame the round for that one. 8)

Have always like the 9 luger. Surely shoot it more than the rest of my calibers... fun and in-expensive. But my FAV is 10mm, hands down!

I made the decision earlier this year to go to all 9mm for a number of reasons. It's accurate, I can carry more ammo in the gun, I can have the wife shoot it just fine. Not to mention it's cheaper. I buy large amounts of winchester 124gr NATO and train with that and carry 124 +p Ranger T's. Number one reason for me, I can rapid fire unload 17 rounds in a 6 inch dot 15 yds and in. I love the .45 acp round, but I can't justify the cost to train like I do now (200+ rounds a range day)

Get into reloading. Then you can afford your .45s ;-)

Nine is fine for many applications, and I quite like shooting it, especially from steel guns.

However, also having .45, .40, .38SPL, etc. means I'm still shooting when all the 9x19 is in someone else's stash.
