Buying a house with 9 acres on the lake next month. I don't think there will be any guns soon. I would like to get a SAA clone at some point.

@EddieNFL "Poor planning or sloppy bookkeeping?"

Ehlers-Danlos hypermobility disorder, Reconstructive surgeries, Utter collapse of finances due to my being turned from the breadwinner, into a nearly home-bound cripple over the last 20 years.

Not exactly something you can plan for, Neighbor.

I've still got about 20k of 100k in medical bills to clear, and untold credit damage from having no other options as my Wife worked her way through the corporate ladder to where she is now.

Unlike many other people, We refuse to see bankruptcy as an option and have made good on nearly every debt we've created to date.

I do appreciate that your first impulse is to assume we're Incompetent, but I've hardly made a secret of my physical decrepitude.

Note~ Can we keep it on the guns for those of us who now get to pick up what we really wanted for Christmas, rather than digs at folks for their choices on a W-2?

Could have been your accountant.

I don't follow personal lives on the net. Sorry for your troubles and apologize for hurting your feelings.

I took advantage of all exemptions to increase take home that I legally could. Even so I ended up getting a few hundred back. Spent at WalMart on things including my new vegetable slicer and deep fryer - homemade french fries last night!
If I am discovering it's fun to cook, does that make me old, weird, or both?

Mine will go towards a 700R4 transmission for a 1993 Chevy Caprice wagon, that I drive to the range...

normally i dont get much back but we had had an extra exemption arrive august 26 so i just ordered a kahr cw45 this morning. the rest of the extra goes to a bit of needed clothes shopping for my wife and daughter and, and we are paying off some bills. im not working 6 days a week with a new baby in the house if i can avoid it.

I am sorry that so many people got pi*sed off that I chose to do with my money situation as I see fit. You would think it was their money. And for the ones that say they would spent the money throughout the year, I do that any way. Figured up the other day that in the last year I spent just over $33,000 on guns, ammo, and NFA items. For those getting a refund, kudos to you. In this economy getting back a couple thousand beats the crap out of having to pay a couple thousand.

Unless you're an elected official, the only way I know to spend money you don't have is to use a credit card.

Faulty logic. While I may not have earned much, that 2K was drawing interest. IF I have to pay I'm still ahead.

If tax refunds are how you save money, well, okay. But if you spend it when the check arrives you're just spinning your wheels and sliding backwards in the mud.

I believe in giving the .gov not one more dime than required by law and not a minute sooner than necessary. According to our vice president that makes me unpatriotic.

I manage my withholding to avoid lending money to Uncle Sam since he does not pay me any interest.

Since people can't seem to stick to talking about guns instead of a giving tax advice, this one is done.
