on the 44 magnum i received...it has a screw on the inside of the grip near the bottom facing the trigger guard...i assume this is to increase / decrease the trigger pull....does anyone know which way is which (i assume its "righty tighty / lefty loosey")..

anyone know the value of this revolver... 6 1/2" barrel nickel plated..model 29-2

That's the strain screw for the mainspring, and it should be flush, or almost flush, with the grip frame.

Yes, loosening it will decrease the double action pull (will not affect the single-action pull), but will also cause misfires. Best left alone.

As far as value, if you can give us the serial number with x's substituted for the last 2 or 3 numbers, that would help with the estimate. The serial number is on the bottom of the grip frame, be sure to include the letter preceeding the numbers.
