Could anyone recommend a good dvd?

I've been thinking about the AMGI offering, "Professional Gun Cleaning Secrets" with instructions from Gene Kelly, even though it costs nearly $80 in the UK.

My country has been effectively disarmed over the years by governments of all persuasions, so I'm pretty much a novice who needs some support. It's such a huge subject.

I'll soon be moving abroad to a place where firearms are more readily available.

Also, I'd be grateful if anyone could comment on a book called "The Gun Owner's Handbook."

I've seen discussions about those videos here from time-to-time, but have never actually seen one in person so I will not comment on their qualty.

I will, however, suggest you wait until after you've moved to purchase anything gun-related. In a place where everyone is treated like a common criminal and guns are outlawed, I can't see why ordering this is a good idea. Also, it'll be a bunch cheaper without the VAT, or whatever it is they have now.

You should check around on Google Video and YouTube, there should be some good free videos there.

Good luck,

Steve

Thanks, Steve. You're right.

I used to have a Weihrauch air pistol which is sold as the Beeman P1, I think, in the States. It was designed to accept all Colt 1911 A1 grips, and I thought about treating it to some Hogues or Pachmyrs from the US.

I thought about it for all of 10 seconds, until I realised what the reaction of the British Customs Service might be: most likely three or four police cars, and a SWAT team outside my door and a helicopter overhead.

Britain is awash with illegal guns, full of foreign criminals, and fast becoming the murder capital of western Europe, but the ordinary citizen can't even get his hands on a 22 target pistol.:D

Don't let it happen to you.
