I came into possesion of a Mark X in 7x57 and would like to know some history of the rifle. The markings on the receiver are, in order:
ALEXANDRIA VIRGINIA, INTERARMS, MANCHESTER ENGLAND.
The action appears to be Mauser 98. The safety is marked MARK II or 11, depending on your interpretation. The barrel is 19.5" and has been crowned. Sights have been added and it has been drilled and tapped for scope mounting. The trigger has been modified to a fairly nice no creep, light action and the whole thing is dropped into a Ramline synthetic stock.
It's an excellent little shooter, short and fairly light. Great for whitetail!
Thanks...!
You guys are great! Thanks for your time...
