Saw a news brief recently about the killing of "innocents" in Iraq and their present "world of hurt" the media has them in. Something caught my eye--those shell casing lying on the floor were 7.62X39s NOT 5.56 rds. Did anyone notice that??? If my observation was correct then it is evidence that an AK-47 was being fired at them at some point. Will post this on a couple of other sites and see if any spotted it also, wc

One of the Marines involved stated that the Marines fired the AK so as to make it appear that the dead Iraqi had fired at them in order to justify their actions.
At least this is what was reported on the news.

Biker

when one of those *incidents* happened, i was listening to S. Hannity on WABC, and some dood called in and said he's a gunsmith for 20+ years and he can tell those shells in the photos are AK-47. so yea, it's been known for a while.

well to the rest of the world. they are only an enemy until they are dead and when thier buddy ran off with thier rifle. now all the sudden they are "innocent civilians" logic and common sense escape the general world.

* maybe not this specific case, but it happens*

No. Spent casings only mean an AK or similar gun firing 7.62x39 was fired, but does not indicate at whom the rounds were fired or necessarily when the rounds were fired.
