WRT the 11000, IMO it's like this.
Say a company still produced a 1971 Dodge Dart, with the old brakes, poor handling, crude transmission, etc. and maybe even with somewhat poorer fit and finish, and called it the 2009 Dodge Dart.
If you saw it at the Dodge dealer, next to the BMW dealer, what would you think?
Say the 2009/1971 Dart is $2500 and a nice BMW starts at $35000. The Dart might look like a good deal.
But say the 2009/1971 Dart is $30000. You'd laugh and walk right on over to the BMW dealer (even though BMWs might be a bit overpriced). That $30000 Dart is the 1100.
Now, say Dodge put a fancy new paint job on the thing and called it the Dart G3...
At least until Dodge went into bankruptcy over the past few days, Remington and Dodge were the same company, BTW...
