Is it the end of the world?

Sig is making a 550 clone for the US Market,
Smith and Wesson making an AR-15,

If Glock introduces a polymer 1911, I'm bugging out......

I had a guy in a local gun shop who was dead-set that Glock was going to introduce a 1911 at the SHOT show this year. I kinda gave him one of these...:scrutiny: , but anything's possible.

For one, it wouldn't bother me a whole lot. I kinda liked the idea of the Alchemy Arms Spectre, although the price was WAY out of line for what you got.

The SHOT Show is Always Good

Every year, the manufacturers who have exhibits at the SHOT Show come out with some very interesting stuff. Sometimes, very innovative and provocative. I for one enjoy going to both the tactical side and the hunting side, since I enjoy both types.

I believe in another section of THR there is a thread about several THR members who want to get together for dinner during the SHOT Show. Hopefuly this year it will be where we can all hear each other during conversations.

Remember that not everything announced at the SHOT show actually makes it to the gun-monger near you. Sometimes, if enough orders are not generated from the announcement, the product is canned.

I'd rather see someone make an FNC clone (semi, of course) rather than an FAL clone. Market has enough FALs.

Maybe DSA will do it sometime soon.

Shot Show is sort of what the "Primaries" are to politics.....vendors are feeling out the attendees (ie: voters) to see if their marketing ideas have a future....some make it, some don't.

Ruger making a GP100 in 44 Special

S&W Scandium PPK/S

I keep dropping those hints but they don't listen to me :(

Id sell my car, and maybee even my motorcycle (bolth non-operational :p ) for Sig made civi legal 550!

People say that the 550 series is Gods gift to the 5.56 NATO.

Hey! Maybee the AR-15 snobs will finaly have someone to look down on them: the Sig 550 Snobs! :D

I was looking at one today for $7500. It was just like you describe except it wasn't a clone and it wasn't semi.

It is made in Europe, so it is better than anything American.

Actually if they sell them here they will have to make them here, so it won't be European anymore, it will be "New Hampshirian" or however you'd say that.....

I want a US made,all stainless,AK47 chambered in 223...NOW!!!:cuss: With a brushed stainless 100 round US made drum....:p

I happen to own 3 Glock carbines and they work great. I use it to kill all the grizzly bears, pumas, zombies and space aliens that I see in downtown Indianapolis:)

I'm certain that the ZIG 550 that I will soon own will work just as great. BTW, that Steyr AUG that I will soon have will be just as good.:D

Sig will be making a limited run of 550s for the American market. Don't know how much they'll run, though. Y'know, they make a 1911 and they own Mauser, so why not a Sig Luger? Hmmm....
