Is the Glock 36 More Problem-Prone That Other Glocks?

My two G36s are just as reliable and trouble-free as my two G30s, my G21 and my two G19s.
They're certainly the easiest Glocks to use for CCW that I own.
The G36s are also easy to shoot well, like most Glocks.

The only Glocks I've had that gave trouble were both .40s (one each G23 and G27), and I got rid of 'em. Won't have a .40S&W gun anymore.

I would say YES! My brother has a G36 and it has had a few too many jams for my taste. I think the G36 is considered the dog of the Glock family. It is the Sigma or the Kahr P-40 of the gun world. A lack luster gun from a company that normally makes great guns.

I thought I had read somewhere that the G36 seemed to have more problems than the other Glock models. I have one I'm thinking about selling, because of that.

I just kind of wanted to see if I was remembering this wrong.

Thanks,
Steve

Check out Glocktalk.com. There you will find that it is considered the least reliable of the Glocks.

albanian,

Unfortunately, I tried a search on glocktalk, but must have been using wrong search criteria. Just typing in "G36" didn't pull up any obvious posts about it.

Thanks again for all the info.

Steve

I wouldn't sell it unless I was having alot of problems with that model. If it shoots fine, why get rid of the gun?I have heard alot of gun bashing all over the net of every brand and model.Take alot of negative posts with a grain of salt, and you could weed throught the truth and b.s. pretty easily.

If yours is working fine and you like it, I wouldn't sell it either. Glocks are known as some of the most trouble free guns you can buy. The fact that the G36 is considered the most problem gun does not mean that it is a troubled gun, only that is has the rep of not being as good as the others.

My brother's G-36 has not impressed me at all. It has jammed a few times after break-in for no reason that I can see. It is not accurate and I have seen some G30s that could shoot rings around this gun. It kicks and whips in your hand. The mag pinches the little finger during recoil. The trigger bites the finger during recoil. All around, i find it one of the most unpleasent guns to shoot and that includes some .44 mags I have shot. It is a nasty little gun that really is not all that little when you lay it down next to just about any other gun. I was surprised at how close the G36 was in size to my SIG 220. The 220 is a little bigger not as much as I would have thought. My 220 could shoot 1 1/5" groups at 25 yards where the G36 gets 5-6" if you are lucky.
