You can find some of what you're looking for at http://www.coronadoleather.com, but an all-inclusive store? Sounds like a winner of an idea to me!

I always thought
that a store that only sold top notch gear would be cool. In reality, however, shooters for the most part will skimp on the accesories and splurge on the gun.
Some of my best gear includes "cheap" gear(Fobus holster/mag pouch, Uncle Mikes pocket holster, WalMart heavy duty work belt, Win USA JHPs). I think it would be a hard way to go unless you were in an area where there is a high concentration of martial minded CCWers and Cops. This definitely wouldn't work here in Ohio.

Probably not. You would be competing with the internet crowd so your margins would be paper thin. Add to that mix that your market base is very small (total % of people who have a CCW seems to hover between 1-2%). Of those people many are probably part of the "stick it in the belt or drop it in a pocket" crowd and wouldn't buy quality gear anyway.
A good idea but probably not economically viable.

A successful marketing program for any product category is built around education. WRT concealed carry there is no education program. A newbie can pick up pointers from their CCH instructor, or a book, or THR, or equipment manufacturers, or dumb luck. Successful CCH involves technique as well as equipment. By and large CCH is a self-taught skill with remarkably little support CONSIDERING THE CONSEQUENCES OF IMPROPER TECHNIQUE.

I think I saw such a store in San Antonio, on Bandera Road at the loop. It was after hours, so I couldn't go in, but I peered through the glass and saw lots of holsters and stuff. If anyone knows more about this place, I'd be very interested in hearing about it.

Yes there is demand but, for the handgun only.
As others have said, the clothing market is pretty well captured.
The market to steer a person into the right defensive handgun is still green, in my opinion.
I don't know how many times I have been into a local FFL and the guy was totally off-base when talking about the attributes of a particular gun or was recommending the wrong gun to a first time buyer.
Several times, I have butted in on a conversation to correct an FFL on giving advise to a buyer.

Better to do it via the Internet. An outlet costs $ for rental and unless you're in an area with many CCWs, it's likely to fail. Some folks (women especially) are fashion conscious and if you're line isn't in, it won't move. Stagnant inventory is tied down capital.

Jim Washburn.... was it AT the loop or a ways outside? I know there's a range outside the loop (Blackhawk, I think?) and I believe they have a store. Otherwise I'm not sure. I know that there's a couple of gunshops (TexasGuns) on Bandera between Grisson and Eckhert, but I don't go in there often at all..their prices are WAY too high!

Yes, it's right inside the loop, at the southeast corner of the intersection with Bandera Road. It's called The Concealed Carry Store, or something similar, and it's a little storefront in the corner of a little nondescript strip center.
You are sure right about Texas Guns. They are way too proud of their stuff, and they don't seem to be very willing to negotiate. Best gun shop I've dealt with in San Antonio is Nagel's on San Pedro. A lot of their stuff is overpriced, too, but I have found several excellent bargains there on used guns, and the salesmen are knowledgeable and friendly.
