Is there such a thing as an all purpose handgun?

S&W Fan -

When I grew up, guns were a tool

Like a saw, or an axe or a shovel.

And, yeah, I'm well armed with plenty ammunition.

The point I'm bringing up here is that

There is a huge difference between tools for living

And mutually assured destruction

On the small arms level.

To me, m.a.d.

On the small arms level is,

Pardon the language,

Totally ****ed up.

I'd rather figure out how

To live in peace

Than to figure out the next level of firepower.

And, yeah, I'm more than aware

Of the Crazies out there,

But if you don't try

You have failed before you began

And by the way

To those who think I'm some kind of Troll

I live on the Olympic Peninsula

On damn near five acres, wood heat.

2 ea. CZ P01's

1 ea. Winchester 1200

1 ea. Ruger 10/22 magnum

1 ea. Cz Vz 58 Carbine

1 ea "Dirty Harry" Wheelgun

And some other stuff.

Cheers,

And

You

Still

Sound

Like

A Troll

To Me,

Also,

Seeing as how I've never heard you on

This Board, before.

Fair Enough?

Isher,
I like what you're saying and I see from your inventory that you prescribe to speaking softly and carrying a big BOOM stick(s). ;)

Could I use it for self-defense? Absolutely!!! The flame-throwing Federal 125 grain Hydrashocks work fabulously in it.
S&W fan, and all others reading this, if you want to keep your forcing cone in one piece on a K frame stay far away from light bullet weight loadings at full house .357 pressures - they will crack K frame forcing cones. This is why S&W introduced the L frame and eventually dropped all .357 Mag K frames.
